Our group of 5 girls (4 young chicks and a hen) conquered the rail system today. Admittedly we weren't carrying too much luggage, but we managed to board trains, run up platforms catching connecting trains at the last minute, and get off at the right station. Our group dynamics are pretty good - some of us a better at navigating, some are better at reading signs in foreign languages. So all together we fill all the roles required, and got to our destination successfully.
I'm very, very concerned about train travel during our next Open Travel period when we'll have ALL OUR LUGGAGE with us. I can't see everyone getting on the train in time lugging our bags on board.
It will be a nightmare!!

ReplyDeleteYes, I'm so glad the other girls can read maps - cos it sure ain't my forte.
How are things going back home? I'm not missing the place yet, but who knows how I'll feel in a week or two.
Things are going OK. Hope that you are enjoying all of your experiences. I suppose that even the events that you are finding a dubious will help you appreciate what you have and what we all mostly take for granted.
